THE GOLDING ACADEMY is a learning center unlike any other. Owner and head instructor, CAITLIN GOLDING TCRG, has a modern and revolutionary take on Irish dance. With an emphasis on creativity, conditioning, and body mechanics, Caitlin's vision is a balanced approach to competitive and performance Irish dance.
Inspired by and based out of NEW YORK CITY, the Golding Academy strives to push artistic and competitive boundaries through the freedom of movement. With certifications in IRISH DANCE, PILATES, THEATRICAL MAKEUP, and a degree in SOCIAL WORK, providing a community platform for expression is of utmost importance to Caitlin and her team.
We work alongside the acclaimed MURRAY ACADEMY OF IRISH DANCE with owner and head instructor, ANNE MURRAY TCRG, to provide our dancers with the most current championship choreography. As a sister academy, our workshops offer the best technical and performance instruction.
Charasmatic, Passionate, Creative
Caitlin's unique approach to Irish dance developed through her training with the Broesler School of Irish Dance. She went on to win 5 regional titles, top 3 medals in prestigious North American and Great Britain Championships, and top 10 medals in the World and All Ireland Championships. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Caitlin began dancing globally with Micheal Flatley's Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames, and Dangerous Games. She recently finished her touring career on Broadway. In between tours, Caitlin aquired her certification in theatrical makeup with Von Lee School of Asethics and moved to New York City to work as a pro artist with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. As an avid practioner of pilates since age 15, Caitlin pursued her Pilates certification with the esteemed teacher training program at, Harmony Pilates and Gyrotonics, in Pittsburgh. With a mission to integrate tradition, modern artistry, and wellness conditioning, Caitlin wishes to promote health and happiness through movement and dance.
Garrett Coleman, two time World Irish Dance Champion, six time North American Champion, nine time Regional Champion, and co-founder and co-director of HAMMERSTEP, trained with the Burke School of Irish Dance. At 17, Garrett joined the infamous Trinity Irish Dance Company as a lead male dancer and began touring the world with Riverdance. Continually pushing the boundaries of traditional Irish dance, Garrett has expanded his dance repetoire to include hip hop, tap, stepping, capoeria, and martial arts. Graduating Suma Cum Laude in Urban Studies from NYU and the University of Dayton, Garrett offers a well rounded approach to performance coaching for children and adults.
Beginning instruction with the Maple School of Irish Dance at age 4 and later studying under the Broesler School of Irish Dance for 12 years, Catherine has achieved competitive national and world acclaim. At age 19, Catherine joined Micheal Flatley's Lord of the Dance. For the past 4 years she has toured worldwide including London's Westend and Broadway. She is currently pursuing her love of theatical and special effects makeup with the prestigious Makeup Forever Academy in NYC. She hopes to pass on her passion for Irish dance and to help Golding Academy students become both champions and performers alike.

Originally from Austin, Texas, Kelsey has practiced yoga and meditation throughout her entire life. Inspired by her mother's dedicated practice of over 40 years, Kelsey is currently pursuring her yoga teacher certification from Dou Yoga in Brooklyn, New York. Trained by reknown life coach, Pat Carnahan, Kelsey has become an expert in fostering and encouraging mental, spiritual, and physical growth. Mindful meditation and breathing techniques are only a few methods Kelsey uses to teach foucs and mind-body awareness. As a musician, singer/songwriter, and contemporary dancer herself, Kelsey offers instrumental tools to instruct Golding Academy students on how to prepare and be fully present during competition and performance.

The Golding Academy welcomes Anne Murray of the Murray Academy of Irish Dance. The Murray Academy is the premier school for Irish dance instruction in Northern New England and is located in Exeter, NH. Proud of its reputation for excellence, the academy is home to over 150 students, including Regional/National champions and World medal-holding soloists and teams. Students may choose between different program tracks, from recreational, to competitive, to internationally competitive, and may perform in the community at nursing homes, festivals, concerts, and private parties. Murray dancers have performed with popular Irish entertainers such as Eileen Ivers, Chieftains, Joanie Madden and Cherish the Ladies, and Andy Cooney. Established in 1995, the school also has had an active booster club for a number of years, which organizes and runs fundraisers and events to support the dancers, and hosts an invitational feis (Gaelic for festival) that attracts over 850 competitors from all over New England every May.
